State-of-the-art Immigration and Passport Office inaugurated in Islamabad
- Islamabad – (Pakistan’s News) – The modern Immigration and Passport Office in Islamabad was opened by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

- While addressing the inauguration ceremony, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that the backlog of passports in Pakistan has been eliminated.
- Both urgent and regular passports were not being received in 6 months.
- Now passports and identity cards will be received on time.
24-hour passport facility
- He said that we will also provide people with 24-hour passport facility in NADRA offices in 14 to 16 cities.
- In the next 7 to 8 days, passport counters will be set up in these cities and passport facility will be provided to people.
- The timings of the passport office in Islamabad will be extended to 24 hours immediately.
Model centers
- He said that we need to build model centers in Lahore and other cities.
- There is also space for model centers in Karachi.
- Model centers will also be built in Lahore and Islamabad soon.
FIA action
- Outside the passport office, Mohsin Naqvi added, the FIA is taking tough measures against the mafia.
- The mafia will have to be eliminated.
- Communication between the public and the FIA is very important, with which we will soon be successful in eliminating the mafia outside the passport office.
